Bought this in HONG KONG via the carousel website. Required meeeting up in an agreed MTR (subway) station and doing a deal on the spot. Seems a number of HKers are importing vintage seikos from Japan and flipping them. The case is a cushion type and does not display any zaratsu characteristics. I assume it was originally just polished, without any contrasting surfaces. This is an August 1969 model. Anyone have any further insights or comments on this model?

Nice pick up !
The brushed finish looks original to me.
Wish I could offer more insight.

Looks very nice. I'm on my pc today with a half decent sized monitor. I had forgotten just how impressive the embiggification of pictures is compared to my usual phone screen!

Have yet to get it serviced. Working well, so no movement picture sadly yet.

Very nice dress watch. Is 28,000 hi beat for that movement? Yes, the 56KS movements run at 28800 bph. The only 36000 movements from Seiko at during this era were the 5740 and the 61 and 45 series.
