No photos yet. figured this is a good a place as any to post, thought of the "Random shit that pisses you off" or the Japanese thread.
I bought this through Kohls back in May during the mothers days jewelry event. Stacked some coupons and did okay. I was allowed to start wearing it on fathers day. It's been the only watch I've worn since then (6/13). Odd that last weekend; when I check the time to see how it was holding up, after a couple of weeks, it looked as if it was exactly and hour off???(I'd placed it on the TG when I got it and was reading 10-40 s/d) could I have just miss set it originally???
Yesterday after chores I took a shower and tossed it back on my wrist and it had stopped almost 2 hours previous. I single tap on the crystal and the second hand came to life....I reset it to clock zone and its +3 seconds over 24 hours!
Really, really, like the watch just hope its not going to be problematic for me...
I'll do a full review I guess when time permits, just thought I'd get it out there...

Sounds like a seconds hand interference with minute hand, it the hairspring is jumped off.
Figure you checked both before posting but that's my input
Worst case return to Kohl's get another.

I have a Stargate that was like that. The second stopped in roughly the same spot. Sometimes it would run for a few days, sometimes a few hours. I sent the watch back and the seller and he said he swapped movements because I got the last Stargate he had. I believe he opened it up because the notches on the caseback were in a different position. I took a picture.
This was in my early days of watch tinkering. I decided to remove the case back and see if there was anything wrong like junk in the movement or hands interfering. The first thing I noticed was that the caseback was tighter than tight. Far tighter than it should have been. I noticed that the watch was running with the caseback off. I let it run and it did for two days with the back loose. I put the back on with normal torque and it hasn't stopped since.
Seiko is not shy about torquing the caseback down tight. I wonder if gorilla strong torque is causing problems?

Not adding much to the "review" but since my last post where the watch had stopped once, its be the edw for three weeks and has gained 32 seconds, so FOR ME its seems to be keeping very good time. Happy its a bit vs. slow. When the month ends in 30 and needs to have the date manually changed; I will just hold the stem out to hack and allow the time to sync back up.
Happier by the day, although the other watches are getting a bit jealous....

Tell me about it, happy isn't even close to how I feel about this watch...Can't believe I waited so long to get it...mostly b/c some said the prices for them would be dropping like a rock, but still holding strong. Of course now I've jinx'd it I'm sure.

A week later and she has given back 7 seconds, to be ahead only 25 since I sync'd it 7/15...I'm afraid to take it off and wear something else for fear it won't be repeated...Crazy great time keeping.

Friday update this time with a quick pic. Still keeping amazing time; at 22 seconds fast since I synced it a month ago. Its bounced as high as 32 seconds fast at one point almost immediately after setting it. This has quickly turned into one of my favorites...Easily top 5...which reminds me I never posted to that thread...busy busy busy.

Witch one is better in the movement quality Diver 6309 ore the new SRP? Different not better really. The new one is more modern but get great accuracy from a few of my watches with 6309 movements...Both movement designs work not sure but some one may chime in saying what the benefits of one over the other are...
