I saw that one as well. Pretty nice looking watch, actually. Not like the gag-fest LEs Seiko has turned the 5KX into so far...

If we forget the heritage of the Seiko slim case divers, this is not a bad looking watch and it does have a real story behind it. Might pick one up when they get to Ramone's recycling shed.

Yeah, I'm not feeling it but then again I'm not a huge Queen fan anyway. It's pretty well executed though.

Good grief, is that legitimate?

I really think these new 5 Series are good watches at great street prices.
If they make an LE for a rock band I love I would buy it and Queen was great and all but not in my special core groups.

I agree they’re very good value Jon, but I don’t see how they can justify doubling the price for a different dial, a signature on a case back and a guitar-theme box, homage to a rock guitar legend or not.

You mean that there is one more gag-worthy than that? That's awful! And I'm a Queen fan.

Meh. I'd take Brian May's 7548 over any of these drunken fives...

Yes. It is a collaboration with a Japanese anime series, I guess. Better hurry, they are only making 1000 of them!

Looks like the illegitimate child of a confectionery artist and a watchmaker.

Technically, "Special Edition" is what Seiko uses as terminology for when a watch model is produced for a fixed, pre-determined limited period of time, without the watches being numbered or a hard pre-determined cap in terms of the number of watches, whereas this is a "Limited Edition", which has a pre-set hard limit on the number of watches. Good grief, is that legitimate? You mean that there is one more gag-worthy than that? That's awful! And I'm a Queen fan. That photo is of one of the ones called a "gag-fest", which is one of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind ones: www.crunchyroll.com/en-gb/anime-news/2019/09/18/1000-limited-production-jojos-bizarre-adventure-golden-wind-collaboration-watches-go-on-sale-in-novemberIt's not a photo of the Brian May one, which is this one:

Thanks for sharing this Leffe . . .
I am a fan of Queen and their live album is one of the best live albums of that era. That being said, I have no interest in the watch but it is a decent looking piece. The rabid Queen fans will gobble them up for sure!
Very interesting read on the history of his guitar and the guitar case box is actually pretty cool.
I personally can't see paying that much for an imprinted copy of his signature on the case back and a dial variant that really doesn't have universal appeal. I guess Limited Edition will work for a limited market.

Truly rabid Queen and Brian May devotees would seek out a 7548-7000...

My son who is a giant Brian May fan, and about to graduate from a school that shares its colors with this dial is probably gonna get one of these from dear old Dad when he graduates in about a year.....
Not my cup of tea, but I KNOW he'd freak out.

I actually like the design, but not, of course, for over 500 Euros. A quibble I have though is that the chapter ring should have been color-matched with the red of the guitar, which it's unfortunately not.

I spoke to the folks at the Seiko Boutique in NYC today about another watch altogether.
In speaking they told me this new Brian May LE has been consuming their time the demand is apparently beyond all wildest expectations. Phones are ringing off the hook !
