Well, the drugs have definitely kicked in. This guy arrived this afternoon. It's the Hamilton Intra-Matic Chronograph in 40mm. For the most part I've avoided chronos because their dials often seem a tad busy to me. This one seems nicely balanced and also has a bit of that vintage vibe to it. It sits fairly tall on the wrist given its 14.6mm thickness. Be that as it may, I love it. Will probably get a rally strap for it before too long.

I have the same one! And I put a black rally strap on it too! Got my strap from Holbens. Great watch, amazingly accurate, buttery rotor. Give it a flick and it spins and spins. Enjoy it. I know I do.

That strap really works with the watch. I have since swapped out the original and swapped on a black Horween one. It should do for now but will probably go with the rally style. Thanks for the tip and you're right about the rotor.....it really torques along!

Fantastic. I've long thought that model was one of Hamilton's best.

Beautiful chrono. I too dislike busy dials, but this dial is incredibly clean.

You're right on about BC Hydro who I believe operate under a different name these days?

I have the vintage manual wind version. That automatic tickles my pickle though.

Hold on to that pickle! With the automatic movement, I would imagine the watch sits much taller on the wrist than yer Handaufzug.

Funny thing. The logo reminded my of the Pittsburgh Steelers for some reason. You're right on about BC Hydro who I believe operate under a different name these days? What the H ? One peculiar feature of this watch is the date change function. Beside advancing the date through rotating the hands, the only way to quick date change is by depressing a button on the side of the case. Thankfully, Hamilton provided a "branded" tool for depressing the button....

Funny thing. The logo reminded my of the Pittsburgh Steelers for some reason. You're right on about BC Hydro who I believe operate under a different name these days? Generally speaking, BC Hydro supplies electricity and is a crown corporation while Fortis(formerly Terasin and before that BC Gas) supplies natural gas and is a public corporation. In some limited areas of BC, Fortis also supplies electricity.
