Made a trade with a fellow in Florida, his 1999 midsized 36mm auto Bond Seamaster for my full sized quartz kit. He just replaced the old bezel. Lately I am enjoying the smaller watches like my Omega Polaris versions, MWW Seiko homage, the Seiko 6458 orange dial... Got to have 2 links removed soon. My first Bond was auto and gifted it to my nephew back in Canada. Nice to have the smaller auto back in the fold.

Great swap Thian. I'm gravitating to smaller watches myself and I think it may be part of a trend....at least among us "older folks" That Omega is the bee's knees by the way.

I've also been enjoying the smaller watches lately. I like how they don't remind me I have a loose anchor on my wrist

Well, maybe cuz we are now in the seniors classification! we are shrinking hahha! In Japan one has to take a memory test at age 75 in order to continue driving!!! So many older guys causing accidents!! The neighbor is 75 and she took the test, a list of vegetables which you had to look at, then recite how many you remembered !!!! haha!
Russ, nice Hamilton chrono... Zeke, getting shitty winter slush, rain winds etc!!! in Vancouver?

A week ago, we had a snow fall that hung around for a couple of days but it warmed up and rained. The winds come and go; most are just light stuff but a couple of times we had trees down and power outages although I was unaffected.
Remembering vegetables isn't really a good test for ability to drive. Quick accurate decision making is!

As you might know, we have a problem with seniors driving and hitting the wrong pedal. Dementia is problem the government is not sure how to handle. An ex politician aged 8o hit a family and killed the kid and mother. He was jailed but released...and the public was angered. He did not remember if he hit the gas or brakes!! Seniors on bicycles with electric motors are having accidents now too! I keep telling the wife to expect the unexpected on Japanese roads!

I've never owned an automatic (as my personal vehicle). I am convinced that the level of physiological and mental engagement required to drive a manual transmission makes you a better and more alert driver and is probably better for octogenarians who still drive. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
