Last night I caught up with about 15 other WIS types at a local pub to geek out and share a few pints. The lads brought some nice pieces so here a few of them that I managed to try on. Apologize for the crappy photos.....pub lighting ain't the best This Orient is just great and as many can attest, it's a great alternative to the SKX007 Now this Sinn had to be one of the heaviest brutes I ever worn. It's got an oil filled case. That and it's made of tegimented steel. At the opposite end of the weight spectrum was this cool Marathon field watch. Here's a Big Crown on a big watch.. And the piece de resistance? Reckon it would have to be this Rolex GMT Master II in yellow gold, with a green dial. Have to admit, it felt very nice! Oh and the beers were delightfully refreshing!

Excellent. I have been giving Redbar some thought lately, if I had a few more hours in the day it would be a no brainier.. Heard a great interview with the founder today who seems like a seriously decent fella.

This looked like a great time! It was and for the last while, all meetings have been zoom calls but next week we're getting together at a pub while keeping our distance. Should be interesting. These meetups are great to meet fellow enthusiasts and try on some different watches.
