Hi all,
I’m relatively new to this, but starting to build up a small collection of vintage seikos. Main focus going forward is 6138 and 6139 chronographs.
Looking forward to learning!

Welcome JD! You’ve found the best place on the web for vintage Seiko lovers! I spent 11 years working in Glasgow and Edinburgh (lived in Polmont) before heading south to Kent in ‘02. Haven’t been back since but have often thought about visiting Auld Reekie for a long weekend. No chance of that at the moment though... Don’t be shy; show us what you’ve got!

Thank you! I’m based down in Portobello by the beach. Been here 5 years and my wife’s Edinburgh born and bred so we’re here for good. I’m away from home at the moment so limited photos on my phone, but here’s one of my 6138-8010 fresh from a service. Looking forward to learning from everyone on here!

Welcome. A lot of advice on here about those calibre of movements. A lot of fakes and crap out there so just tread carefully My tip for those two cal movements is make sure the chrono function works and doesn't stop the movement. Those little chrono wheels are getting mighty expensive!
