Heads UP: The battery has arrived today and it works...well has taken 2 charges (30 mins) and discharges (2.5 hours running a video). Company: delllaptopbattery.co.uk. www.delllaptopbattery.co.ukThe web site looks and purports to be in and shipping batteries from the UK. I'm still unsure they do. The packaging was very short on information. The web lists shipping by all the major, reasonable, acceptable courier services but when you come to buy you get a ghost YODEL tracking number. YODEL as we know in the UK has a poor record but have got better. The tracking does/did not work until the day before delivery. While the tracking number exists at YODEL its a ghost number awaiting the product to be delivered to them before they update the tracking. Max Liu is not in the UK (evident from message replies). I have closed the Paypal case.

Sounds like a frustrating situation Don. PayPal will cancel the transaction eventually. I had a situation a while ago where I bought something online. Realised a few days later that I’d actually bought from a cached website that didn’t seem to be active anymore - and I found some bad reviews to go along with my concerns. I informed PayPal and had my funds back within a week.

Yes, it can be a bad place out there.
The guy sent me a fake shipping note last night. It did not have any company ID on it just a pic of a few numbers trying to convince me it was dispatched last week. Absolutely nowt to do with YODEL or their tracking. The packaing did show it as dispatched 20/11 but not from where.
I have another dispute also running. Received a duff roll of bubble from a UK supplier if you can have such a thing. Pressing the bubbles only transferred the pocket of air to the next bubble and so on until it got to an edge. Absolutely no protective affect whatsoever. Unfortunately the seller uses the new ebay system whereby buyers pay ebay then ebay pays the seller. Disputes are then between buyer, ebay and seller Even though you pay by Paypal any dispute is first between buyer, ebay and seller. Lord knows what gold hat thought that one up. Unfortunately I threw a spanner in their works by commencing a claim through Paypal. This dispute is still running even though the supplier has agreed to the refund.
