I was just messing around starting to service another 6309 when I made a cool discovery. The auto winding bridge has all the usual 6309 printing on it but when I started pulling parts off; I discovered a couple of Diafix systems. I figured at first that maybe it was a 6319 with 21 jewels but once I got it all torn down and did a jewel count; I found 23 of them. So this is really a 6349. And it is in excellent shape. It wasn't running because the lubricants had dried out and the balance wheel was too stiff to oscillate. Once I pulled the palette fork out, the train could be wound up and it would release all that energy in a nice smooth fashion right down to the fully unwound state.
This one will replace movement in one of my 6309-7290s chinathumbsup.gif
I'll shoot some pics of the serviced movement when it's done since it is just a bunch of loose parts in my cleaning solution right now a063

Christ, Xmas came early. thunbsup.gif No kidding; I was quite surprized. I hadn't bothered with it before because it just said 6309A and I never suspected there was gold under them parts laugh1.gif
