There's a rather long (and I will admit quite rambling!) Seiko Special episode of Fifth Wrist out. It's me and my friend Thomas talking to the host about all things Seiko and why they are so lovely. I'm afraid that there was quite a lot of booze consumed and also I made a few schoolboy errors throughout in my nervousness - five "Otaku Pointo" for every one that you spot! Anyway, if you like that sort of thing here's a link so you can have it on in the background while you do your daily whatevering. Fifth Wrist Seiko SpecialI've been asked to do a regular (by which I'd think monthly or every other month) Seiko based show on Fifth Wrist which I'm thinking about, not said yes to it yet though as I have a lot of commitments in my life already. But don't be at all surprised if I tap some of you up as guests in the not too distant future. You'll realise from the pod that I am certainly not an expert compared to the vast majority of people on here

pip - I love Scotch eggs! I will have to give this another listen as too many interruptions have distracted me though the session but I've very much enjoyed it. Thanks for setting us up with the link!
15 JAN 2022 Update
I just gave it my semi-undivided attention while wrenching on my old 1997 F250HD (rebuilt the parking brake cables). I really enjoyed it, thanks again!

If I am not mistaken George Daniels offered his coaxial escapement to Seiko (well he says in one YT he traveled to Japan in his quest to sell it). A chance meeting with a young Omega engineer was his only joy. I do feel he worked many years for little gain and perhaps would have provided the world with more than 37 very special timepieces* had he stuck with a standard balance. * No doubt all secreted away in safes for nobody to see.
Having lived in Scotland I do like haggis...and scotch eggs.

And I do love a bit of haggis, as long as it's proper stuff and not plastic supermarket rubbish. Used to love scotch eggs too but less keen now for no particular reason.

Used to love scotch eggs too but less keen now for no particular reason. pip - you have to have really good mustard to go with them too. I have only ever had excellent mustard served at British pub/tavern establishments here in the USA. Consequently also the only places I have ever had blood pudding, Scotch eggs, Beef Wellington, and one of my all time favorites, bangers and mash. If it wasn't killing me 10x faster than anything else I ate I would be eating it every day!
I am also 100% on board for Fergus to be upgraded to "Spot On Don" - you couldn't do any better!

Ah yes, a good breakfast with proper sausages and proper black pudding and proper haggis and proper toast (you all seem to put sugar in your bread mix in USA, it’s alien and wrong to our tastes!) and proper baked beans and proper fried eggs. And of course, a good cuppa tea to wash it down. Colmans English mustard, HP sauce and Heinz tomato ketchup on the table for those that need them. Proper job.
