I often think how do Chinese people feel when they go abroad.
Almost everything they lay their eyes upon has been made in China and if not made, then atleast something or most of the materials used have been processed in China at somepoint of items life cycle.
Makes you think...

When Chinese go abroad, they tend to stock up on luxury foreign goods. Inside China, they tend to look for goods made for foreign brands because they know they have better standards / QC. This is all pre-2020 of course, and things have changed, from ability to travel to a sharp rise in nationalism, but broadly speaking those purchasing patterns have held pretty strongly for a while.

Yes, that I knew, but I'm more intriqued about how they feel inside.
Do they feel patriotism, proudness, amazement or what?
I remember when Nokia was big and every one had a Nokia phone no matter what part of the globe you lived in. Finns were proud about that for sure.

We don't have any Nokia phones, but my wife has plenty of stuff from Marimekko. Finland is a design powerhouse.

For sure!
Wirkkala brothers (Tauno and Tapio) are among my favourites.
Still waiting for some serious watch designs thou...
Glad to hear your appreciation for Finnish design!
EDIT: I'm hunting for a Marimekko fabric by Teresa Moorhouse called "Sininen gepardi" (Blue Cheetah) and my plan is to frame and hang it. When I first saw it I tought it was ugly, but longer I stared at it the more the cheetah's gaze spoke to me. No other piece of fabric has impressed me yet.
