Hello to everyone! New to the forum, but been around on Reddit and WUS for years....
Anyways, my collection consists mostly of G-Shocks (and about 7 Seikos). Currently at 79ish G-Shocks, as they multiply like rabbits. My first watch growing up was a Casio my Grandma gifted me for Hanukah, circa 1982. But the first watch I bought for myself around 1987 was a round face G-Shock (5700 series). Around my college years I picked up a couple of Seikos (still got a 2nd gen Monster, 2 SKX, a SARY055, a quartz chrono from the 90's, and a couple of older 5s), and collected them until about 5 years ago when I caught the G-shock bug yet again. I admit I have a problem, but they are just so much fun! G-Shocks for the most part are affordable, so you feel like you're not breaking the bank when buying one, but they certainly add up. The FOMO is real! My current obsession is the 2100 series. But my first love will always be the Squares. Of course I have a few Mudmasters, several Rangeman, a Gulfmaster, a few Frogman, and a bunch of 6900s. I have too many to list all at once, but here's a link to my current collection: My current SOTC (Shockbase)I of course love wearing my watches, but also love displaying them. When not on wrist, they are pretty to look at with their special tins, boxes, etc. On occasion, G-Shock does some awesome stuff with packaging and themes. I have made my display as part of my living room setup. I need only turn my head to the left to enjoy its splendor. The top portion is an actual rotating store display that's two-sided and holds 48. (pictured below).

Nice collection! I will be filing this photo away. If/when my wife complains about my collection - at least I don't have a retail display in the living room . Crap, one more temptation to try and ignore...

Welcome to the forum babyivan - good to have you here and it's clear you belong too
I love the rotating store display display, and nearly had a Seiko off Ebay at one point. However my ambition is to one day have one of these 'Spin Display' guys somehow fitted into the place my Wife will allow:

Thanks inboost! I appreciate the warm welcome. ...especially from a fellow boost addict (2017 Fiesta ST "FiST" owner over here). 😎 I love that display! Probably pretty pricey, unless you find a jewelry store that's going out of business. You could probably find a good deal on one of them if you scour Craigslist and Offer up. The one I got my friend procured for me from an authorized dealer that he's done lots of business with. Not really supposed to give those out to the general public, of course, but my friend has spent so much money with the guy over the years, exceptions were made. 😉 I love those old digital Seikos. Quite niche. I see you repair them as well, which I'm guessing is necessary after a number of years, the contacts on the board need to be re-soldered, etc. I love modding my G-Shocks as well. Mostly just switching bands and bezels, with an occasional positive/negative display conversion. G-Shocks are like legos, so easy to build up build down and switch pieces between models. Over the years I have amassed quite a collection of spare parts, lol!

babyivan - Yes, almost always I have a turbo in what I drive. These days it's a big 7.3L turbo diesel truck instead of a fun little sportscar. Hopefully that will change some day sooner than later. I'm a bit of a rotary nut too, so the avatar is a boost gauge out of an 'FC' Turbo II I owned for a long time
I came to this forum about a year ago to learn how to work on the mechanical watches which I do love very dearly. However I've had a bit of a quartz side-track these days. I do have a few G-Shocks too, a GX-56GB I've had for nearly 10 years now and a just recently acquired GAE-2100RC-1AER Rubik's edition. I've been through the GX-56GB so I can appreciate the modularity aspect. What I am very disappointed in is the lack of documentation for service of the entire Casio watch line. Even a simple parts list for most Casio modules is just not to be found (from my searching) . Oddly I can seem to find service documents for their musical instruments (keyboards mostly). Do you have any tips on finding Casio documentation?

Unfortunately G-Shock does a horrible job with sharing more specifics when it comes to the inner workings of modules circuit boards etc. People often do find hidden button combinations to get the secret menus, but other than that, what you see is what you get. I bought the Rubik's Cube 2100 as well. I made sure to buy it from the G-Shock store in SoHo, because that was the only way to get the actual G-Shock themed Rubik's Cube with it. Looks cool in the display case, but I don't know if I'll be wearing it much, lol. I grew up in the '80s, so the Rubik's Cube was a big thing in my childhood, and was a must buy when they released a G-Shock collab. Yeah, I was always into V8 muscle. Over the years I had several mustangs and even a challenger scat pack, couple of trans ams etc, but got totally turned around and now I'm into hot hatches and tossable cars over big power. The FiST is a blast! And does a lot for a little car, thanks to it being a hatchback. You know what they say right, more fun to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow, LOL!

Very cool you got the puzzle cube with your 2100. I had a member help me out to get mine from the UK! I was very grateful, and it speaks to the nature of this community. I would agree the smaller car with spirit is almost always a more enjoyable day to day experience. Your Fiesta reminds me of the Mazda 323GTX I owned some 30 years ago. I really loved that thing!
