I can not for the life of me figure out some peoples strategy while selling. A guy/gal is trying to move a watch with a busted bezel ring. One of my favorite references. If spares were available I'd even consider it, if the price is right. It started out listed for $89 then dropped to $69 before being relisted for $59 and now I see it listed without "a make an offer" at $139?
Just seems odd for a watch to have a value between $30-$70 w/o the broken ring that they wouldn't just set it and forget it.
Another seller recently shot me a discount of over 50% off but still wants $30 to get it to Chicago from Texas in the mail?
I have been on eBay a bit more lately, for items that seem impossible to find, through my normal vendors. Bearings and such. I have bought for almost pennies on the dollar some items...Heck if I was of the moral and ethical character that would do such a thing, I should buy the items myself and relist and then sell to the company...But that is how the last President was fired, when he first started working here,...Seemed he was on a job and they were required to have an oiler, along with the crane. I guess the business agent said pay me half what he'd cost, and we'll call it a deal...So he agreed, and then took a slice for himself, figuring he was still saving the company money! Turns out everyone around knew what the deal was except him and he got caught...
Anyway just thought I'd rant for a minute...

yes the old $30 shipping fee doesn't get cut into by the ebay seller fee no one is getting fooled there.
sometimes a high price with an "OBO" will have lowball offers accepted at half the asking price. Like you I just don't get it.

I have no clue what to list some of my watch parts at. It seems like eBay is the best option. But I also think itโs going to suck!!!!

My favourite is 'only requires a new battery'...and that's a watch with AUTOMATIC on the dial.

Today I had a guy offering me a broken watch (not ebay), which was ok for me.
He told that the crown was stuck.
Well it was a diver watch and I told him to just unscrew the crown and he'd be good to go or sell it for more than what he was asking.
