Saw the theme, and recalled that I had Seiko models that actually came on a nylon/fabric type strap. Thing was, I had to find this one. It was in the last place I looked. I'm not sure I have ever even worn this... I always wonder why people use this expression. I mean come on, are you really saying that after you found what you looking for, you stopped looking for it? Haha... I wrote that entirely tongue in cheek, my attempt at deadpan humor. Used to love saying that to my kids when they were pulling out their hair searching for something... "You'll find it, it's always in the last place you look!"

I share Nick’s disdain for NATO straps. This is the closest I could get.

"You'll find it, it's always in the last place you look!" I always think similar when there's an american tv show on and they say, "I could care less." I'm sure you could, what you are actually saying is that you care enough that it could be lowered. Rather than the English version, "I couldn't care less." Which makes a lot more sense...

Day 17 Nylons My First Timex Camper came with a two-piece nylon strap. When the crystal took a hit and went missing, I kept the strap. It made its way onto a couple of watches over the years but I have now lost track. The next watches to arrive with “fabric” or nylons were also two-piece on the very same Seiko’s SteveX was sporting today. I don’t have many NATO but I do have a few. Like others have mentioned all that material takes away from the watch. One thing I do a bit different then any others I have seen. Is I don’t put the strap through the keeper/ring first so it rides under the watch. I place the watch on top of my wrist and then run the end though. Now there is more bulk at the buckle but it allows the watch to site flatter. Worn for demonstration purpose’s. While the strap doesn’t quite match is it a bit different. And I don’t have much fashion sense anyway. Back from my Blue period. 7009-8279 June 1989. Like the case design quite a lot, almost King Seiko-esque with the flats on the lugs near the openings. This one needs a bit of attention, as the second hand fouls the hour hand at between the 5 and 10 minute marks.

Kind of surprised I haven't seen an Ericas parachute strap...I think it was a few months ago they did an interview with her in Watch Time magazine.
I know I've seen them on the forum, just surprised they haven't popped yet. Of they didn't sell for more than most of my watches I would be in the market to try one...Heck she even has Lumed straps now that look pretty cool.
