Hey ladies and gentlemen, it's that time of year again! Time to gather up your greats, shine up your sh*tters, polish your Pogues, and erm, alternate your alternatives?
Anyway, Wednesday 16th November (or for our American chums, Wednesday November 16th) will be the sixth ever International Pogue Day. So please show off as many Pogues, or Poguish, watches as you can on that day. If you do the whole social media thing then please use the #internationalpogueday and/or #internationalpogueday2022 so that we can all find your posts easily. I only really do the instagram thing (I'm @pippy by the way) and last year we had many hundreds of people from all round the world take part. Let's see if we can make this thing bigger year on year.
There are some rules: 1. It must be an absolutely true Pogue, ie a yellow/gold 6139-6005 from Sept 1971 with a service minute counter hand. 2. If it's not, it doesn't matter one bit. 3. No snobbery allowed. Hell, I don't have a true Pogue, I don't even have a 6005, and I started IPD! 4. If you don't have a 6005, or a 6002, then any 6139 will do. Or a 6138. Or anything else you fancy, it's just to celebrate the day! 5. Finally: Rules 1 to 4 are optional. Do whatever you want.
Get yourself a nice cup of something and scroll the internet, and just drool over the many beautiful watches you see, and maybe make contact with or just comment on the posts of people you don't know. We all appreciate a compliment from time to time!
Have a lovely day on the 16th! Pip

Pfft, I have the correct 6 digit serial number on my real Pogue . Just need to remember where I hid the keys to the safe. If my memory fails me I'll have a gander for something that works with Rule #5.

I’m hoping my newly acquired Aussie Pogue makes it back in time. It’s getting a spruce up for the big day!! I’ve been waiting 6 years to join the club!

Funny I was just thinking "I don't remember Cam having a Pogue"! I love it that that you knew that I was previously Pogue-less. It will also be a good reason to call the post if I don’t see any updates this morning. Was supposed to arrive on Friday.
