About how much would I be loooking to spend for a morderately nice 6309-7040 case set? Doesn't need to be working. I am thinking of doing a 7500 hybrid quartz conversion.

You are currently looking at between $100 and $200 for a non working -7040. You will have to ask lots of wuaestions about the crown and stem tube as well as about the crystal retaining ring and bezel spring/ball.

If you're shopping in the $100-$200 market I might have one you wouldn't want to MOD (although I love a MOD)
