This is getting serious now! πΏπΏπΏ What about the early snap-on cases which had the model name inscribed? Some of the early 1960's Liner, Skyliner, Crown, Cronos etc models had this type of individual caseback. A few images below as examples. I'm not sure how you catagorise these early 60's designs as they seem to copy the dial varied logos of the time...

Additions and re-org in first post.... not sure how that will look on a mobile, I suppose it may cut off the images that are side by side... TBD. If so, use a computer!

OK, when do we get a wall chart / poster of this? That would be hella cool to hang in the watch workshop!

It is pretty cool seeing them all listed out. I would want better quality photos, and I think I would nerd out and try for ALL variations, within reason at least. It would also be cool to have a list of models with each of the rare case backs at least.
And then on to Citizen! A lot more cool ones there

I had missed a couple on the bottom of page 1 - now added in. The main KS (no medallion) and the Plain Circle

Whoa. Nice. Keep 'em coming. Added a couple Seikomatic Lady's and the triple circle Seahorse. I am aware of plenty of standard horseshoe versions, but that will be a chore at the end.

I will be adding some more cases to the first post soon. This Golf one is another favorite. I've also stumbled on different dolphins and seahorse:

Bumping this thread to remind myself to get back to it and at least add the Golf Case back into the first post... EDIT: done, and since I didn't note down which other Seahorse and Dolphin case backs I had spotted - those are now lost somewhere... until I stumble on them again.
Keep 'em coming! I think I am at the point where we can start filling in smaller variations etc...

If this has already been shown excuse the repitition. Interesting case back that shares 2 different references! The 5625 date only and 5626 day + date version of the -8000 they only stamped one case back. Check out the stacking of the 5 over the 6 !

That one is cool and I had completely forgotten about it. Need to try and find a straight on photo to fit my format....
EDIT: Added to the KS section
