Hello everyone. Starting a new thread to post my collection of vintage Citizens...and maybe a few other things. As various watches come and go, I'll add them here. Hope you enjoy!

Here is today's vintage Citizen: Crystal Seven Custom "Disco Volante" from April 1968. Short on legibility, but big on style. I also have its original "railroad" bracelet, but this one works really well on straps, too.

And since I did not post it in this thread previously, here is my recently-acquired 51-2273 diver from January 1980. I just love the way that Citizen lume from this period ends up a bright, mint green. The chamfered crystal creates a lot of interesting visual effects. It can be a dirt magnet, though, but I've cleaned it up a bit since taking this photo.

A bit more modern today with the 1990 Citizen Wingman. There are several variants of this watch, but this two-tone one with the integrated bracelet is the most iconic to me. I was able to find this one in basically NOS condition, but with a fiddly movement. After a few months on vacation at Hurley Roberts, it now works perfectly. It's really a fun and comfortable watch, but also very useful. I occasionally consider selling it just because I am a flipper by nature, but I doubt I'd ever be able to find such a good example again. I think these "neo-vintage" pieces are going to come into their own even if they are not so loved right now.

It's been a bit, but here is a new aquisition: the famed Challenge Diver! I have several vintage Citizens, and several vintage Citizen divers, but I'd not yet had perhaps the most famous one until recently. Also owning the titanium reissue, it's been fun to compare them. They have obvious shared design, but they are completely different watches on wrist!

And another one that I've been enjoying recently: 1969 Citizen Homer Date. This is really the change of pace from my more frequent sports watches. It's all the dress watch I'll ever need. The finishing is really immaculate, and it holds up well to modern scrutiny. Surprising given that this was an entry-level model for Citizen at the time.

MyNameIsVigil those two are really nice examples, but you will find me admiring the diver over the homer. Is that a 62-6198 you have there? It's in spectacular shape!

Yes, it's the 62-6198. My preferred Challenge Diver reference. I like the cleaner bezel, stamped dial, and red date.

The one that started it all: April 1968 Crystal Date AUDS 52801. There are dive versions as well with the timing bezel, but I always liked the simplicity of this model more. It's rugged and easy to read, but still compact. Bought this one from a local friend after bugging him for a few years

That is in really great shape for a watch almost 56 years old! The brush on top of the lugs is fantastic. Reminds me of the 7009-821X references with the slightly over-sized bezel and lug that are just proud of the end-links.

I really love the lugs on this one! They're stout for the size of the case, and they give it a lot of presence. A perfect daily watch, IMO.
