For a period of time in the early 70's (maybe back to the late 60's?) Seiko listed the World Timer in their SPECIALTY SERIES of watches. It seems to be in pretty good company. Based on the following ad scans, I believe the list of SPECIALTY SERIES watches includes the following. Can you find any more to add? My focus was world timers, so it is quite possible that there are other catalog or ad scans that mention the SPECIALTY SERIES with some other models... ? GMTs: - World Timer, 6117-640x - Navigation Timer (GMT), 6117-641x Divers: - Deep Sea Diver (Willard), 6105-811x - Deep Sea Diver, 6105-800x - Professional Diver, 6159-700x Alarms: - Bellmatic Alarm w/ Day and Date, 4006-xxxx - Bellmatic Alarm w/ Date only, 4005-7000 Chronographs: - Bilingual Chronograph w/ external Tachymeter, 6139-600x - Bilingual Chronograph w/ internal Tachymeter, 6139-601x

As collecting strategies go, with some hindsight now, I think one excellent example from each of those 4 categories/lists would make a killer "vintage Seiko" short set representation of 1968-1973 from Seiko.
If you wanted to do the same, but say for 1962-1967, the list might be:
GMTs: - 6217-7000, original World Timer - 6217-7010, Asian Games or lumed 1967
Divers: - 62MAS, 6217-800x - Silverwave J12082
Alarms: - Bellmatic 4006-7000 Dolphin
Chronograph: - Monopusher, 45899, 5717-8990, or similar
EDIT: Forgot for a brief moment about the monopushers - perfect fit for the category
