A 6106 won't work properly in a 6105 case as you depress the crown to set the date with a 6106. They do share quite a lot of components though.

To add just a little to the previous answers. If you download the 6105b tech pdf, look at the page with the parts list - at the top of the page it will tell you the "basic calibre" (6106a) from which this calibre was built. Underneath the "Remarks" box at the bottom of the page it will tell you that the items in the parts list which are grey - are all interchangeable with the basic calibre .i.e. - most of them.
