Finally finished, the Citizen ALDS-2901ɑ of October 1968. This simple mechanical alarm is wound, set, and armed by the upper crown and is hand wound for time keeping and time set via the lower crown. There is no quick-set, but the date jumper is narrow in it's activation time span so it's not too burdensome to run the hands back and forth to advance the date.
It's accompanied by a torch I saw on the side of the road, left illuminated on the side of the road today. Probably fell off someone's car in transit last night. We were stuck in heavy traffic so I bailed out and snagged it. Cool pick-up!

Treacherous driving today but managed a snap with the new G Shock I got for a steal on clearance. With 300 G Shocks I didn’t need it but the price was too good 😆

Had to sit in the parking lot for 15 minutes after start time since no one else showed up for work to open the store.

Guess which one got its wrist time today. After having tested the SKX009K at -9s in 1 1/2 days, I of course chose the freshly serviced 7548-700B. It deserved a brand new original DAL1BP from Saikyu Japan.
