After leffemonster posted his 7009 I caught this little beauty. The indices are applied and are a mirror black finish together with the Seiko and LM applied logos as well on a linen dial. The effect is stunning to say the least! It came on a BOR bracelet with a slight taper to it. Being a one piece case, I went about opening it following the S-14 guide.

The first pic is the movement in the locked position after removing the bezel and the crystal (with the claw thingy). The arrow marks the top of the snap ring in the locked position. The next pic shows the snap ring poking out from the bottom after stopping halfway. The third pic shows the top of the snap ring almost vanished, the bottom fully exposed and the stem release lever which was pressed to extract the stem. De-cased upside down movement. Case showing the innards. (Someone's been in there, which was evident too from the fact that the bezel cutout was at the two o'clock mark instead of the usual 9 or 6.)

Not too bad, right? I didnt touch the movement apart from just regulating it. It was 50 secs fast even after demagging. The usual drop of 20°-30° amplitude in the vertical positions with a delta of 30 seconds. Whoever was in here did a decent job.

appumaster, what a beautiful watch and a great guide to opening the movement! There is something about applied numerals that is special in my eye. I bet the pictures don't do it justice
And yes, that's running so well I can't argue with leaving the service to another day

That's a beauty! Good work documenting the locking ring positions; I had some trouble putting mine in place correctly after decasing it.
