Recently, I acquired one of these watches from a Japanese dealer and wanted to review provide a short review for the forum first and foremost; typical Seiko high-quality for Japanese domestic market as compared with a few quality control issues over the years in their adjacent Asian manufacturing plants. The watch is designed reminisce of the 60s 70s divers watches, with a non ratcheting bezel movement but not a ISO rated typical Seiko diver and WR for 100meters. relatively thin at 11.5 inches and 41 mm in diameter with 20mm drilled lugs, sapphire, crystal and a screw down crown. Date with magnifier cyclops. Some won’t like this Rxxxx feature but at least no often overused Mercedes hour hands. Comes with a quality black leather strap with deployant clasp. It’s extremely lightweight and highly accurate. With a few hours in the sun for its initial charging. From what I’ve read the V157 calibre movement battery will last at least 10 years or more before a change is required. What’s also interesting is the bezel is a free turning type reminisce of 60s divers watches. I would not think that it would be a problem in the future as it is well designed and is smooth movement and stays in place, there’s no backlash. Hands and indices are typical of Seiko fantastic applied lumenscent with a vintage tint.

Such a nice reference. I'm a huge fan of vintage skin divers, this one has all the modern pluses with the vintage look.
