Our daughters bike was stolen 2 weeks ago as part of a team of rogues working our patch. Yesterday and today I have assisted (by this I mean done the whole job) daughter in assembling and setting the gears on the new bike. Who needs 24 bloody gears FFS ? The brakes are fully hydraulic discs and while the front arrived in working order, the rear had little oil and was not. The headstock cannot be raised and needs a riser...another outlay. The front 3 cog assembly positional indicator on the handlebar was broken so does not show which of the 3 gears its in. Who needs to know anyway cos you can feel the burn. They don't make them like they used to. BUT the major work has been devising something to make them work for their living (thieving). They gotta carry a 20kg radiator with them.

That is terrible about the theft of the previous bike. I'm glad to see you've got a replacement done up right for your Daughter. I'm hoping the troubles you've been correcting are not as-new from a manufacture but rather the carelessness of a previous owner.
Casio Rangeman for me today

inboost, she bought it as a NOS 2020 model and got it for 1/2 price. It came disassembled so will have sat a while somewhere. The issues were not worth time complaining to the seller.

I should have at least taken a moment to polish this 4335-7000on my sleeve, but chained to the desk today and not enough time to do anything but what they pay me for.
Still smarting a bit over this - I used the wrong size holder when I was pressing the caseback on, and the crystal became stuck in the holder. There was practically no room between the case and the holder. I used a thin screwdriver blade wrapped in tape, and still managed to scratch it. Stupid stupid me.

Strange light this morning as I drove to work... I have my other 7548-700B on my wrist since yesterday. This one is certainly my favorite of the 3 7548 I own... And yes inboost , I also smugled it out of the Philippines for as low as nothing

Well... Look again, just below 5'oclock. oy, sad to see, i thought that was a reflection or something. it could be polished out, it's far enough from the bezel. but yeah, that's a tough one to swallow

I’ve had bikes stolen, vans broken into multiple times. You can’t help but take it personally but the thieves are usually thick as shit and don’t think twice about doing it to anyone and everyone. You can still raise that stem, search steerer tube extension on Amazon. And the rear brakes may just need bleeding, mine don’t work after I’ve had it sitting upside down cleaning it, as a tiny air bubble travels from the handle reservoir to the highest point (which is the caliper when upside down). A few taps and it rises back again!
