For me similarly as sbdx001 is THE mm300 from all marine masters in the world (past and future), the GW5000 is THE square Gshock ever made 😀

Daylight savings has become a painful event to my OCD ever since I began collecting watches
We'll start with something simple today, the Seiko SKX-A55 Orange Bullet along with the FEI Zyfer GPS-DO

This one has an issue with the date change where it seems stuck or failing. Reset doesn't work so will have to have a gander on those insides soon. Edit: Operator error, the battery was on its way out. I still need to sort out the sweep as it's not hitting the markers.

I saw this one in the "to do" box earlier today, it's a bit tired and will certainly need a service one day, but it's perfect for a sunday afternoon at home. The gold is almost completely faded.

Tripped over this watchface for my FitBit while I was trading out for another rotation with the silver one. Thought y'alls might appreciate the retro... mnem *impairing productivity since nineteen mumblety-mumble*

Need to get a new crystal for this VFA
ouroboros there's a specific procedure for setting the day, month and year on that watch. It's a bit fiddly, but you are supposed to do it while your inside to replace the battery. I found a youtube for mine - if you need it, let me know and I'll try and dig it up.

The watch was ticking fine before the reset but then the expected date disk change wasn't happening. Did a second reset resulting in the two second tick over which made me think I was stuck in a mode. The battery was the original one that came with the watch though I had a new one that I'd shelved as the watch seemed OK. There seems to just have been enough that got drained on that first reset. The penny only dropped when I did the reset with the new battery.
There's a calendar check that's quite interesting to look at but chews through battery life. Should be used sparingly, similar to battery check on the old Seiko kinetics or the dancing hands of the *M** movements.

Wore this last night to the Eagles Concert with Steely Dan as the opener. I didn't realize how old I have become. The eagles have now been mostly together playing for the last 52 years! While Joe cannot sing like he once did but at 76 he still knows how to play the guitar. Glad I got to see them at last, was quite a night out. That said I still think of Ticket Master as the Devil...and a small reason I don't see as many shows as I once did. Now with the Dynamic pricing. WTF Anyway the watch of choice.
