Hi Everyone.
Thanks for having me. I've been a long-term Casio Casiotron fan, since about 1976. I bought a very early Casiotron secondhand in that year, from a guy who had traveled to Japan. It was horribly expensive for a university student, but I just had to have it.
Then I used a series of later Casiotrons, especially for my remote area field work - in Australia and SE Asia. You just couldn't kill them.
But I always kept my first one. It's a 04-501 model, externally it's a bit rough because I also used it in the field extensively, but it would probably work if I put a battery in, except I don't know what battery to use.
I've now seen some great Casios on this site and I just might get another one with the 'plastic' case'.
Cheers, Rod

Indeed the Casiotrons are amazing watches and as long as they are not eaten alive by battery spills they do seem to be very sturdy.
