A Dove has found a perfect spot to start a Family.............she is sitting in one of my plants that I have on the front porch and has already given one egg. Kinda cool I think!

That's great, you're very lucky. It would be nice to see the babies when they hatch . I set up a web cam last year when we had a robin nesting at the back of the shop. It was lovely to see the parents feeding them. Got some stills somewhere, I'll dig them out.

They love nesting in hanging plants, I've had them do that to me a couple times. I once kept them from building in one of mine, because I didn't want the plant to die. Here is one from a few years ago... Here is another from a few years ago, they built the nest quickly...I only had the EZ-Up erected for a few days. Not sure what type of bird it was, but I left the canopy up until they vacated. And I'm not sure when this one was from, but I think it was another time they built a nest in my canopy...Unless the bird in the above pics laid more eggs later, not sure.

Great pics guys. A few weeks ago I noticed a pheasant lying down in a flower border in the garden . It seemed very quiet & wouldn't move when I touched it, so at first, I thought it was ill or dying. So, I kept an eye on it for a while, it seemed to be there all the time, then one day it wasn't there, but these were... So, the pheasant came back & I fed it every day for about 3 weeks, getting pecked & hissed at for my trouble, then one day, the chicks appeared There was 7 or 8 of them altogether but I haven't seen them since I took these photos. Hopefully, the hen took them into the woods & they're safe but there are a lot of predators about, so their chances are slim. This might be the father. Not sure.
