some wrist time. I was going through some watch storage that I haven't visited in awhile, and came across this one along with a few other nice 7As. It's a 7A38-705A, and dates to 1984. Unlike most 7As, which were notable for being relatively slim, this one is CHUNKY. Sits almost as high on the wrist as a 6309. I bought this years ago, mostly because it looked so damned cool and I had never seen another one. It's rarity is probably why I never wore it. This model, IMHO, is much rarer than the "rare" Giugiaro models. It would seem (from the daywheel) that this one was sold new in Germany. Veeeerry '80s look to it...which I love! Why doesn't Seiko make watches that look like this anymore?? :-/ As far as gaskets go, anyone have any luck with these?

That's a great looking watch, you've got a never ending supply of coolness hidden away.

ugh, so jealous. Any other sweet stuff like that laying about that you don't need?
Also, do you happen to have a tachy ring for a 7A38-7270?

I am usually not a fan of the 7AXX chromos but I like that one.
Nice mix of colors and unique bezel knurling.

Mikey likey! I have a few 7A38s, and I agree--most are too small. That one's a chunk.

I have a 7A38-7060, a 7A28-7020, and a 7A28-7039, and a 7A48 in parts watch form. If you think any of that would work, let me know.

That is a sweet watch your description reminds me of an old forum member from the SCWF Phil from Queensland he had 400 watches in a wheelbarrow and 30 he wore regulary in the house. Nice guy I wander what happened to him.
Cheers Mark

I guess it's just a matter of if any of them have their tachy rings, and if those rings will fit the -7270 case with its smaller bezel. I'll do some research and see.
