So I got the word from Spencer. That he was starting on my latest craigslist find The 6105-8110. Spencer has a original NOS crystal for it and the hand will need to be reslumed along with some TLC to the dial. Looking forward to seeing the watch on my wrist. The watch is all original untouched.

It was indescribably filthy under that bezel. Seals were like plastic. All great signs that point to "all original"!

Doesn't look like too bad of a donor.
I'm sure it will turn out as a stunner.
I just hope it doesn't turn into a for sale when you get it back after a wait because you find a new favorite.
When I found my Omega Dynamic after years of wanting one I wore it for almost a year straight end all be all watch didn;t even by or look at another new purchase.
I dropped it off for servicing as it was running 10 sec fast a day and ended up having a cracked jewel and the balance was upgraded to a whatever the fancy COSC grade balance is.
By the time I got it back I had purchased a few watches and while I was not afraid to wear tit because it was now "nice" and kept exact time to a second a day I had gone off track and found new favorites.
I beat the crap out of it afterwards but it just wasn't the same anymore.
Hope you don't fall out of love with it

That's cleaning up quite nicely, please tell me you aren't reluming it. A set of 6105 hands relumed, original sweep hand cleaned up and relumed.. The dial has been gently cleaned and some remediation work done to it. I think the dial looks absolutely fantastic, it shows it's age gracefully. Nice Wabi. when it all come together it should be a real beaut a definate bobby dazzler. Sorry mates a bit of that old Aussie life coming back. Gday mates

Well it's been a fun adventure. The hunt, the catch and now the release. This 6105-8110 has found a home in New Zealand. It is a birth date 6105 for the new owner, he had been on the hunt for a birth date 6105 for quite sometime. Looking forward to the hunt for another.

a 6105 is NEVER a mistake. That, my friend, is a fact...I cannot imagine not having at least one in my collection.

Nice Was going to buy it myself but I really want a proof dial. I did have one lined up but had to let it go as I found out after I'd coughed up it wasn't what I wanted out of a 8110. Shame I didn't find this out before I forked out on a waffle strap for it! Ah well found someone on here who's local to me that wants the waffle.
