I would not want to be wearing that going through an airport.
Interesting feature though. Are these unusual?

I'd sure hate to be in Casio's headquarters when an angry customer with a malfunctioning prayer watch comes in...

I would not want to be wearing that going through an airport. Is airport boarding security trained to differentiate this watch from any others?
(Some Christian religions teach "God is everywhere". Is Allah found only in the East? )

I simply wouldn't want any extra attention from our beloved TSA. I like my pants where they are - around my hips, rather than around my ankles. All I want to do at the airport is to glide through security and get to the gate.

All I want to do at the airport is to glide through security and get to the gate. My solution is even simpler....I don't fly unless it's absolutely necessary from a logistical viewpoint. I remember flying when I was a kid....it was a real adventure....and you got some decent food and a movie. Now it's an arduous affair that's to be avoided like the plague. IMHO, of course.

The importance of "East" is that's the direction Muslim face when praying three times a day.

Before I was married I used to fly internationally for vacations. This is mostly pre-9/11. One trip to visit my brother in Paris, in '99, was amazing. An international flight on United. I got steel cutlery, a beautifully printed full-color menu with nice options, and free booze for some reason. I had my entire row to myself. And this was in regular class, not business or 1st.

Back in the late 80's and early 90's I used to fly to the NAMM Show (National Association of Music Merchants) in Anaheim, Ca. from Virginia Beach, Va. Many times I could get a bump up to first class for an extra $75.00...nice cutlery, comfortable seats, hot towels, strawberries and cream for dessert...the whole nine yards....those were the days!

They don't face east, they face towards the Kaaba in Mecca. This direction obviously changes based on where you are which is why you need a watch with a compass and a database of cities.
