Why in sites lke Warch recon...the most of the sales are Rolexx watches...? Probably because the search engine they use is heavily slanted that way. But why would anyone want a Rolexx?

Just a question...Japanese watches are appearing there but much less than the others. Now, some really obscure brands appear...

Recon doesn't use a search engine by default. It just pulls every listing for each forum it is subscribed to.
What you are seeing is that the supposed luxury brands aren't nearly as exclusive you'd be led to believe. Rolex volumes are in the millions per year. They all go somewhere. And when they hold their value as well as they do its more likely they'll find their way on the second second hand market rather than a drawer.

For sure many of the big bucks used watches of any brand are a true risk. I say this because a loss of $100 or $200 bucks on a Japanese folly is easy to endure, but to get taken by obscure dudes for several thou... ouch! I would better buy new from a brick and mortar AD. Also, when those guys say Mint...are they talking about the flavor... or do you get a big box of Altoids with the watch.
