Timex seems to have typically stayed in the 38-42MM diameter size range, but this one is advertised as a 46MM. (vendor image)

Looks like they adopted Seiko's marketing plan: small watch in a big case with an internal bezel.
My same Timex less the window dressing
Small Seiko 5 in a large case with window dressing

Didn't Timex debut a sub-brand that was just called "TX"....it was supposed to be their "nicer' watches?

The TX brand was discontinued some time ago. Some of the watches are still produced but now branded as Timex.

I've sold every Timex I've ever owned. I had a handful of the old automatics and electronic models.

I heard that Timex was sued by the Texas Republic Post Office because they had a patent on TX. I think that the TX is now the NM or the LA.

The TX brand was discontinued some time ago. Some of the watches are still produced but now branded as Timex. If discontinued, they appear to not be sold out. Amazon.com still offers/advertises an extensive selection of TX watches.
