I like to see the big sites where mostly used watches appear for sale... I have noticed that if we take as an example a Panerai made from SS, the watch may be say $6000, while a similar watch made of gold will be $32,000. I do not think this could be correct or proper and the person wanting to sell the Gold one for that amount, for sure he will have a long wait.

Take the number of ounces of gold on the watch times the gold spot-price, and add it to the value of the S/S model to gain a fair approximation, IMHO. But $32K does sound out of line for the gold value alone. Perhaps the high value may be due to "collectability" and, of course, "what the traffic will bear".
