So thanks to all you you who posted pics of the 2205 lady's diver in last week's "what every Seiko collection need" thread, I have made my first vintage women's Seiko purchase. I thought it would look good on patty's wrist while I wore my 6159. I am very concerned as, now that I've seen it, I want to get the other variants as well....crap!

Oh snap, that is really nice. My wife would love a quartz, perhaps I can track one down for her.

Aw . . . don't worry about it Dave . . . I knew you had it bad when we met . . . maybe you'll corrupt your better half and she'll become a WIS!
Great looking watch . . . wish my wife's taste went that way . . . she only wants Michael Kors and Michelle!

I think the Ladies divers are better looking than most mens divers, I so wish they were 40+mm's wo/crown...

I've bought quite a few 2205's and 4205's for my wife. Unfortunately (or is that fortunately?) she doesn't move her wrists/arms enough to keep them wound (I've worn them all and had no problem). We both loved the styling on them.

This is the quartz 2625, so the not moving of the wrists should be ok. I'm not even sure she'll like it...

David, Somehow I missed this thread earlier.. Nice Catch, the 2625 ladies quartz divers are neat little pieces and extremely hard to find in decent shape. I'm sure your girlfriend will love its small size and the gilt highlights are definitely classy. I picked up an identical 2625-0019 from January '81 for my wife a few years ago. She instantly fell in love with the watch's nice size and easy to read dial markers. it was essentially NOS when I handed it to her, however after a few years of Nursing duty in a local trauma center it's definitely showing some wear. here's a recent pic of hers shawn

Beauty Shawn!
I am quite taken by the watch. I always liked it in pics but in person it's just gorgeous.
It's totally not her style and she's not the biggest fan of my watch addiction, so I've got fingers crossed that she likes it. I'll give it to her tomorrow night so I'll know soon enough!

David ....quick word of advice about these watches ...protect the crystal as best as you can. It is impossible to locate a replacement crystal anywhere . Jonathan has been trying to source me one for over a year with no luck.

Good tip! Thanks Shawn. Are there generics that can be used in a pinch?

I am very sure Patty will love this gorgeous looking timepiece. It looks wonderful! And being grab and go is an irresistible feature for ladies so that they don't have to struggle with time setting.
Please let us know when you hand it to your other half tomorrow night.

Good tip! Thanks Shawn. Are there generics that can be used in a pinch? Maybe, But none that I've found so far. also...the crystal reference lists two different crystals for that series case. one is a domed which is what you and I have, the second crystal appears to be a flat profile. I forget the measurements so I'll need to check my notes Shawn
