The Omega Megaquartz is back in Da House. This went away to Hal0eight a forum member on the East coast of Aussie. Adrian has done a huge amount of work and one of the biggest things it locating parts for a 1973 Megaquartz, a task that I take my hat of to repairer's and restorer's of these old time peices. The work that went into the case was significant but still retaining the actual case lines of the watch. In some of the pictures you will still see some very small dents and dings the case lines have to be maintained at all times otherwise the original look of the watch is lost. The Dial is original and is perfect. Movement wise a NOS Movement was sourced by Adrian this came all the way from Spain. I sourced a brand new crystal and gaskets, crown, stem and date pusher. Also replaced was the circuit board its running near spot on to my laptop clock. The Bracelet was restored as well as can be seen I still need some extra links but these are near impossible to find and its just time and good luck if and when I see them on the forums. Overall I am very happy with the work and job done, After not realising the level of work and time that goes into these watches I take my hat of to anybody that does this for a living. Money spent lets put it this way, it was a few dollars but this is a keeper so money wasn't the issue I just really love this watch it sits perfectly on my wrist and has a great feel. Here are some pictures. Before Pictures first. And After pictures Cheers Mark
