Dang, that's really nice, and I'm assuming it's too nice for you to actually wear...

Dang, that's really nice, and I'm assuming it's too nice for you to actually wear... Nah, I'll wear it. It's not like the old days when I left the house and worked around heavy machinery and lots of other people. Here my watches are relatively safe. My big fear with something like this is fading. The Colorado sun is harsh because the air is so thin and dry. It blasts down.

I'm glad it'll get some wrist time, it definitely deserves it. I wish I was more attracted to the Pepsi bezels, just can't find the love.

It's a beauty but the mov't JAPAN seems not right. Can anyone verify the text and or fonts used?
If all is kosher then you've got an absolutely wonderful find!

This is the 7N36 model. I've owned two, and both have the exact same dial text: "Mov't JAPAN 7N36-7A08 T 2". The earlier version, the 5H26, which had the SQ on the dial, did not say "Mov't Japan". Definitely a Seiko movement inside. The "SEIKO QUARTZ" text is actually really cool, it has sort of a hyper-serif bamboo thing going on. Both examples I've had were like this.

I wonder if one could use the same process, as they do with windows. The coating is applied to the second surface (the inside surface, of the outboard pane), could work.

Ahhh...thus my confusion. Your 'bamboo like' font description makes it even nicer!

Enjoy my friend!! 7dfe79adc2f0 As is always the case with Seiko, when they're in new or new-like shape, they can look so good it's almost like looking at a different model, especially when it's a model that we are almost always seeing in totally hammered condition.

Nice score. I have never owned this model, but you are correct. Most of the ones I have seen for sale are pretty well hammered.

That is very HOT indeed, Spencer. I'm getting some serious Quartz envy over here.

That's a cherry.
Some experimenting going on with the case design. Just interesting.
