In it's condition, it was probably priced just about right.

Frankly I'm surprised it didn't sell for more.
YMMV

Still amazes me, how much value a caseback sticker, and paperwork adds to the price. Not saying it's not worth it, but there have been some beauties sell for several hundred less. I'm sure it'll find it's way into the buyers safe, and hardly see the light of day again.

Really, it's not something that happens very often. That amount of money for a 6309 in that shape? Yeah.

YMMV Me too! As those watches continue to age and become less readily available they will follow the same path of appreciation that the 6105 divers have taken.

Great summer. Right after graduation my dad took me on trip to England & Germany. I got to go behind the Berlin Wall, into E. Germany. Saw some great stuff. I also had not one but two pretty awesome girls I was seeing at that time. Good summer. That watch would be a really nice month to have. I have May '86, but don't have a June '86.

If I recall correctly, that's about what I paid for my 6306 several years ago so yeah, I ain't surprised either.

Personally, I think it's a pretty good deal. Just a decent one nowadays can set you back $200-$300.

Stunning watch. As a seller, heck yeah, that's an awesome price. I agree too, that the poor thing's not gonna see the light of day after this purchase. I salute the buyer - THAT is how you spend $600+!!

That seems like a lot of money for that, but who knows. I couldn't do it. I would have to look for the cheaper, more banged up, discounted one. The paperwork provides the provenance which creates the value.
