We are slowly getting everything up and running. It's been a much longer process than I ever would have thought. You'd think it'd go: - Get crystals
- List crystals
- Sell crystals
- Ship crystals
but it's not that simple, at all. Apart from the whole financing & new business relationships thing, Jonathan's record-keeping was less than exact. However, everything is coming on-line. Now. These are all the exact same crystals that Jonathan sold, made by the same company to the same specs, produced only for us (no one else has these), sold at the same prices, with the same off-eBay discounts to members here. We have the following crystals available now: - 320W10GN00 "Type I" (6105 & more)
- 320W10GN00 "Type III" (6105, 6309 & many more)
- 330W18GN00 (6139-600x etc)
- 330W16GN00 (6106 / 6119 sport divers)
- 340W14GN00 (6138 bullheads / yachtman, 6139-702x etc)
- 325W14GN00 (6159 tunas, 7549-7010 etc)
- 320W28GN00 (6139-800x etc plus more)
We have two other crystals coming: - 320W10GN00 "bubble boy" crystals coming, they're being made now.
- 320W34GA00 produced again. These are the correct flat crystals for the 6309 / 7548 divers, exact reproductions of Seiko NOS crystals, complete with the right side height and unpolished bevel.
FYI, spread the word, bonus points to anyone who cares to post this to other forums such as TOF. Also, if there was a crystal that Jonathan made that you don't see here, ask me about it and I'll look to see what it was and look into producing it again potentially.

Spencer,
Is the 320W10GN00 "Type I" the tallest one available? I've been looking for a tall crystal for my 6105-8119. I think the one I have in mind is flat (or nearly so) on top and domed internally.
Thanks, Myles

There was also a Bubble Boy 2 which the number now eludes me! It was almost identical to the tall BB but not as tall! Edited to add: it fits the 7S26 series.

Are they all mineral glass or sapphire? Hardlex, like before. Sapphire isn't something I'll be dealing with. These are identical to Jonathan's - same company, same material. Honestly, I've never understood the sapphire thing. I've seen them get huge scratches in them. Never had a problem with Hardlex.

I've compared it side-by-side with an original early Type I NOS 320W10GN00 and it's the same.

Type 2's were experimented with, and I have one in the packet that I've never used, but it didn't get beyond prototypes. It's on the books, and could in theory be produced, but this isn't the time to try for a new line, especially an unproven one, until the rest of this is established.

As far as I'm concerned, the trade-offs don't amount to much more than the perceived advantage of J vs K. Glass is good but I am a fan of acrylic/plastic/etc as a crystal material. Since they all get scratched eventually, I like the ease with which plastics can be polished back to blemish free 7dfe79adc2f0

The only thing I wanted to add is that the Type 2 BB sure made the watch "pop" and added some nice depth to the dial! I bought 3 of them previously from Jonathan and they look great but they arent everyones style just like Bead Blasting isnt everyones style either!

Also will you be offering the gaskets Jonathan sold? I don't know if he had them made or if he just sourced off the shelf. I bought gaskets from him because I just liked the guy. I suppose I could buy elsewhere but I never bothered to find other options.

When ordering a new crystal you still need to know the model number of the watch....correct? What about a price list? Do you have one? Also how about the end links he sold? Will they be available too? TIA

Will they be available too? TIA Yes, we need to know the watch model if you don't know which crystal is right for you, but the eBay auctions list all the major models each crystal goes to. Prices are on eBay but when I get around to updating the list here I will add prices. Subtract 20% for any purchases made through this forum and paid via paypal gift. His endlinks and bracelets are still a work in progress. No idea if or when they'll be available through us.

Many thanks for all your hard work btw, much appreciated ta.

Many thanks for all your hard work btw, much appreciated ta. The gaskets are much more complicated. The company that Jonathan used to make his gaskets was pumping out lots of defective product. Their stuff was so poor that he'd decided to find another manufacturer, but he didn't around to this in time. I am working now to have some of them reverse-engineered from original unused Seiko gaskets. Specifically I'm working on DJ0060B, the button gaskets that Seiko used in damn near everything. The rest of the gaskets are seemingly being sold now by a company in Hong Kong... the same company the previously produced the defective gaskets for Jonathan. They say they're pressure-tested but I personally know that fitting the crystal gaskets was a serious PITA.
