So I was thinking, who doesn't love a 6309...right? Do you think it would make a good World Traveler?

Good choice, I reckon. Heavy duty enough to survive a trip round the world. 7dfe79adc2f0

I think it may be to nice that someone may stray and it may disappear.

I think it may be to nice that someone may stray and it may disappear. I can almost guarantee it will disappear. After all someone ripped of a broken Chinese watch that was traveling around the world(never made it out of Texas). So a nice iconic dive watch doesn't stand a chance

I agree, a watch like that will pull an Amelia Earhart, and disappear!

Yeah, too nice, too tempting. The Orient traveller that ended up back home ... and stayed there... was perfect. Usable, bright, not collectible. Unusual model too.

I've been looking for something that fits the bill, but to no avail. I do have this godawful thing: A 21j "Fuji Time" dress watch, near NOS. Actually, it's a great runner. I just need a new crystal for it.

Speaking of Orient... This one met the original Orient World Traveler; maybe he should head out and do a 'walk about'. I asked and he is amenable to visiting different folks around the world

I'd still offer up my SSSSS (stainless steel super secret soxa built from the green dials that Noah Fuller gave away to those of us at the first WI WIS meetup and as far as I know they were only available to those in attendance if some qualified person wants to volunteer to service the movement as it now starts and stops. www.network54.com/Forum/78440/thread/1250048379/We+Put+the+WIS+in+WISconsinWow ... those pictures brought a bit of a tear to my eyes...RIP Noah 7dfe79adc2f0 If you seriously want to risk this watch, Josh; I'd be happy to service/repair it and be the first host of it's journey. PM me for contact details. Tim, if you are good with this, please collect a list of potential hosts; figure out some convenient order of hosting so the watch doesn't criss-cross the globe and maybe establish some criteria for eligibility to host(x number of posts on WS, etc.) Best way to do this is start a thread asking for hosts for the new World Traveller. Folks can then post in that thread and PM you with their contact details. Should we have a nick name for the traveler like we did on the waylaid WUS Traveler known as Vasco Da Parnis? There should be a USB stick to accompany the traveler so each host can add the photos he/she took while the traveler stayed with them. I would like to suggest the nickname, Noah's Ark...

If ok with everyone I will be donating this as the Sushi World Wide Watch! but It's going to be strapless! I need it to flog another watch as I have a lot invested in this little puppy. I'd love it to go global though! What I thought is it needs a bracelet/band that can have each country it visits engraved on it when it's finished doing it's world tour. Some thing like the one on my Docs watch possibly? Easy to engrave words on that bracelet/band thing. What do you think? Peace!

Nice thing about that watch is it came via it's original owner to me. It keeps spot bollock time and it's mint and has a new crystal so it's going to be good in all weathers

Wow, Tony...that would be amazing!
I wonder if we can scare up a proper bracelet?
