When I first saw this one, I could have worn it was a New Delhi special. What an unusual piece, definitely haven't seen many around. Anyone have one of these, any info? *borrowed pic*

Nice one, and looks to be in great shape. These usually come out of SE Asia, and are pretty roached.

Yup! Been there, done that, got one!! Got it in early 2000s. It needed a new crown/stem & I got that. When I got here to Philippines I had it worked on by my favorite local watch tech & got it running quite nicely. I've seen a bunch of these in the Philippine eBay system over the last few years. When they are in nice shape, they are not cheap. Mine was rather reasonably priced, but it's not perfect ... has a little bit of dial aging & case is somewhat scratched, especially on back (though top/sides are quite nice for one that had obviously been used). Mine came "head only" - original bracelet, if any, long gone. Actually, I quite liked the coloring of the dial ... but then, I used to buy Advans & KS Vanacs in those days too! Those are all quite well known for being "60s & 70s FUNKY"!! One interesting thing about this model ... as far as I've been able to tell ... it is the ONLY automatic Seiko Chronograph model of the classic '60s & '70s movement families that has crown guards!! Did you notice that??? BUT ... I just noticed something AMISS in your picture ... I think the CASE HAS BEEN SWAPPED!!! Here is the CORRECT case style: seikoholics.yuku.com/sreply/671/70157020#.U-Vp1aM_zNENOTE: NOT mine, this is an example shot from that JAPANESE collection site I saw about 15 years ago! I'd originally seen this model on a Japanese collection site & just "had to" get one. Took me a couple years, but finally one came in!! They were extremely hard to find on the Western eBay & forum sites for sale. Now that I'm in the Philippines, they are not so "rare" But then, I've switched to buying "classic" and "hi-end" (high quality movements like KS, GS, highly jeweled Orient & Citizen, & 39j G-P Gyromatic,...) items, usually with a fair amount of gold content [see my posts in the non-Japan section!].

Anyone have one of these, any info? *borrowed pic* Yep, I got one of those. Actually, that's mine in the pic you posted. Had it for years, took a long time to find a good example. As has already bees stated, there are a lot of trashed ones, not many good ones. This was actually the second one I bought, the first one was definitely not a charm. Sent that one back and continued searching. Oh, case hasn't been swapped. This one is original down to the bracelet. Just a bad angle in that picture, here's a better shot of the crown side: This one came from the states, and with pretty poor seller pics I got it for a hell of a bargain. One of the seller pics: As received: Was absolutely thrilled when it arrived. Glass was beyond trashed, hiding a beautiful dial. New crystal and good to go. If you like funky, you'll love one of these. Good luck in the search...!

I like it!
I'm assuming the inner bezel rotates via turning the crown?

I like it! I'm assuming the inner bezel rotates via turning the crown? Yep, rotating bezel. Since we're on the subject... As Cobrajet said.. most are "roached." coming from phillipines or thereabout. Here are some pics of the first one I bought to illustrate this. This was a bay auction, very poor pics but a semi-glowing description; "IN GOOD SHAPE! DIAL VERY GOOD!" It was coming from US. Couldn't judge the condition from the pics, and I pounced. Here's what I got. Um, yeah no thanks. I was crushed after searching for so long. Promptly sent it back for a refund, asked the seller if he got it from the phillipines, no reply just got my money back. But this is the shape most of them are in. Think I paid around $150 for that garbage. Was saddened to see it relisted with same crappy pics, and fetch around $300.

Damn, I'm really beginning to like this one, but it sounds like it will be very elusive.
