Offered for sale is a really nice and scarce vintage Duval Super Compressor dual crown diver from January 1969. It features the classic 36mm wide EPSA Super Compressor dual crown case with internal divers bezel. Case is in great shape, and the back is really nice as these are usually torn up from some fool using a pipe wrench to open it. Original thick and highly domed acrylic crystal is very nice, no chips or cracks...nice and clear! Both of the oversized crowns are signed with the Duval logo. Lugs are 18mm wide. Charcoal starburst dial is excellent, with only some faint marks around 1-2 area. Hard to see when wearing, but with the right lighting and angle you can see it. Really not distracting at all. Tritium lume on the dial and hands is all even and glows faintly at the same rate. No funk, or cracking to any of the lume. Internal bezel turns perfectly. The gilt automatic movement runs great keeping good time for the last 24 hours. Service history unknown. Really just a fine example of a classic Super Compressor diver! Sold as head only, Tropic not included.
