Kelly; the guy with a cheap point and shoot camera that takes the finest watch pictures seen anywhere! If I remember correctly, he uses a Nikon Coolpix 4800 which is a 4 megpixel model. It's all about lighting!

He certainly took some fantastic pics, really nice.
*I tried fixing the link in the OP, but for some reason it doesn't want to cooperate.*

Remember when folks would see his pictures then run out and buy a new more expensive camera then end up with the same crappy old photos they always took. It's the photographer that makes the difference;the camera not so much

When viewing it on a computer, it's only going to be as good as the screen it is being viewed on. A Zillion Megapixel camera won't help you at all if you are a sucky photographer...like me!

Some lovely watches and photos. Watches are over restored in places (spun on lathe) and missing original bracelets which would annoy me but still some nice bits of kit. Seriously looking at those Glycine Airman watches myself as a speedy alternative. Guy I brought a couple of watches off the other day had a '65 one but wouldn't sell it to me and looked like he could run faster than me if I tried anything funky especially with the broken hoof I have at the mo.

Question regarding Glycine: I have a restorable 70s Glycine dress watch here. Overall it's nice, needs a crystal and a full service, but otherwise it's alive. I don't know anything about the brand. Is it worth the time?

Is it worth the time? Sorry Spencer. All I know is those vintage Airman watches make around $1500-2500. To be prefectly honest I had never heard them until this chap showed me his 60's Airman watch the other day. He told me they were popular with pilots in Vietnam and as my uncle was killed in action in Vietnam, my mothers family are from Richmond VA, I decided to look into buying one as the guy said they were cheap. The guy has a strange concept of cheap! I just fell in love with the watch. Sorry.
