Hi all, Now I have my WIS mojo back, I think its about time I give some time to one of my projects that has being sitting around for too long. As you can see the dial has seen better days and is beyond being rescued. The RHS show severe wear on the outer edge. So my question is can any one recommend or comment on a replacement aftermarket dial, assuming genuine dials are as rare as rocking horse poo. It seems to be a fair selection on dials on the net ranging from $20 to $60. Any feedback is most welcome, also any thoughts on a new set of hands would be warmly received. PS I notice that all the dials available have a dark trim round the day / date window , where mine has a silver trim. Thanks Yorkie

To be honest I am not Seiko dial expert by a long chalk but those ones that come up online don't look bad. Well some of them anyway.

If it were me I'd go with Sekosis for a replacement. His parts are Pricey but you can contact him through the forum for a discount. www.ebay.com/itm/Dial-for-Vintage-SEIKO-Chronograph-Mens-watch-6138-0030-Kakume-Blue-/321353892146?pt=Wristwatches&hash=item4ad22f4132I can't speak for this particular aftermarket dial but I received one from him for a bullhead because the dial text was more accurate. Then I received another new aftermarket dial in a parts lot and was able to compare the two. Besides the dial text the other thing I noticed is that with Sekosis's dial there is a recess on the back side to allow clearance for the day wheel "C" retaining washer. The other dial was flat with no recess for clearance. Is this an issue? I'm not sure as I haven't used the dial with no recess but it could be an issue.
