No cooking for me unfortunately but I will have this on later today after I take care of a loose canon pinion... Meanwhile, I'm wearing the black one... Peter, can you tell me more about this model? Sure, These are versions of the NY2300 series of 200m diver style watches from Citizen. I don't think they are ISO diver rated. These watches have been around for a couple of decades. They all have the Miyota 8200a calibre movement in them. The 8200 has 21 jewels, beats at 21,600 bph and is hand windable. The seconds hand is indirectly driven so on a poorly assembled watch you might see the 'Miyota' stutter where the seconds hand moves erratically, usually between 1 and 5. This stutter does not affect the time keeping at all. This watch was offered with black, white, silver and possibly a full lume dial. There were black, white, black and red, black and blue as well as silver(painted not ss). There is the standard ss case and the scarce black PVD case. The black model came with a gold bezel, crown and hands. The bezels are unidirectional with a ratchet spring. The movement does not hack as some previous calibres did. The Chinese copies do hack and are as well made as the Miyota ones. I have all the variants except the lume dial model(if it truly exists). Here they are. The most common models... Less common... Even less easily found.. The silver dials all turned this sepia colour. The other watch has the same case and movement but I don't think it is part of the NY2300 series. And the black...

I really like the style of these, the beefy handset really pops too.

Darn, it wasn't the canon pinion...it was the center wheel Gotta go back in...fortunately I have as many spares for this calibre as I do for the 6309 BTW...the 8200a is capable of better timekeeping than the 7s26. The difference is in consistency and positional variation.

Think I've got it now... While I was sifting through the parts box, I came across a Kanji day wheel; cool 7dfe79adc2f0

Aloha , Yes they are in the other room in another box yet. I have not any pictures of them taken yet. But not to many just about . ( 9- of them 8200 's and so) , but have to work a little on them yet. Parts are some what scarce when they are liked to be good. The Philippines ones always have flaws so have to watch what I get. I have a good friend that lives there also, and couple guys here that know how to get watchs that are good, Two are family members through my Great Uncle he is Filipino also. I have a wrist about 7 /34 to 8 1/2 so they are quite small on me that's why I use Big Diver watchs most of the time.

I've got an itch for a Citizen dive watch. I sold this one several few years ago in a fit of stupidity. Myles
