Not a preferred seller, but what do you think of THIS? It's quite beat up for that kind of money. This is more of a $90 IMO.

I've had a couple of not-so-great experiences with that seller.

I've bought a couple from him....most experiences were "ok"....I don't think he's a crook but whoever he has working on his watches getting them ready for his auctions is a hack IMO.
Bought my 7548 from knowing it would need some attention....Spencer fixed it up for me....needed a new crown and the chapter ring was askew.

Tim,
Are you looking to buy a J-model 7S26-0020, or just any old 7S26-0020? If the latter, you can probably get one new for not too much more money than that one sold for.
Best wishes, Myles

Watch is a 1998...that makes it 16 years old. Who knows what kind of shape it is in on the inside. Serviced? I doubt it.
Actually, it's the caseback that is from 1998. It is marked "Japan", so it should be off of an SKX007J. But it does not have a "21 Jewels" dial, it has a standard SKX007K dial. So it was probably pieced together from a couple of watches. I wonder if the movement is marked "JAPAN"?
IMHO, it's a mutt. "All original and untouched" my ass!
I bought a watch from that guy many moons ago. IIRC, it was a somewhat rare Japan-marked 6309-7290 (17 Jewel MADE IN JAPAN dial, JAPAN caseback).
I don't remember why anymore, but I sent it back. It's very rare I send anything back. He was cool about the return, but I don't buy from that fellow anymore.

That's one of those watches that I would run from.

I've bought from him and he bought a few from me too. He's an asshole in my book. Never leaves feedback as a buyer. Stupid face.

Fake dial, and I don't trust the seller generally. What brings you to the conclusion, the dial of a fake?

Fake dial, and I don't trust the seller generally. Can you say what leads you to believe that the dial's a fake? It looks to me like it's been used for a long time in the sun, but it's original.

SEIKO font is wrong, and I've never seen a 007 dial water resist text faded to banana yellow either. As Pete has pointed out, the handset is wrong too. It looks like one of the A/M flat sets coming out of the Philippines currently. I like them actually, but they're not right for a 007.

The guy's not on my "Buy-from-list" in fact he's on my "S**t-box" list. He has the watch I want @ the moment (6309-7290), at a price inside my budget, I only want it as a donor but I still went elsewhere..............and brought a completely different watch that's gona be a keeper not a donor, but that's for another tread, lol!!

I am gong to assist him in filing for a return, I just can't let him keep it. I knew it was suspect, but wanted the opinions of those, who are more knowledgeable that I.

One I bought, the second and the last one I bought from him, was a 7002-7020. There was a problem with the "just-serviced" movement. I returned it to be repaired. After a long delay, almost long enough to lose any recourse through ebay or PayPal, I finally got it back. I subsequently sent it to Spencer for a little mod work. He had to do a complete service on the bodged-up movement. It runs well, now. As I said, never again.
