I just got my first 6117 World Timer (6117-6400). It came on a decent period correct AM bracelet but of course I want to move to a Seiko.
My issue is that I am not keen on the look of the 100% correct original bracelet as seen in the old catalogs, plus good luck getting one anyway.
Lug width is 20 mm. As you experts know it's not truly a straight end link, it has that ever so slight bulge (notch?).
Do the aftermarket 6138-, etc. end links have this same shaped curve pattern? Is there a source for 6117-6400 end links?
Any help to understand will be very much greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Most vintage Seikos take a 19mm bracelet, so it will be tough to find on that will fit.

Choose a bracelet then search for the end links. Those will be the hardest to find although they are straight so you should be able to adapt some from another model with the aid of a dremel. I just took the bracelet off the WRIST SUSHI! world wide watch that's going to be doing the trip form country to country so I'll have a look and see if I have anything that'll do for you later. Personally I didn't like the original bracelet until I wore the watch with one on. Now I think it's one of the most comphy bracelets Seiko ever made. Also looks much better in person. You will have a little task finding the original though

Thanks so much. I measured the lug opening with my digital calipers at a tad over 20 mm on one side and a tad under on the other. You've got me thinking it's really 19 mm and it's just one of those old watch things where they measure up differently.
I'm not so sure the end link is truly a straight end link. I'm sure a straight would look OK but it sure seems to me to have a bulge and there muse be a shape to it. I agree I can adapt most any curved using a dremel but I kind of get obsessive on this at times.
Cockroach I'd love to hear what you think about the WS! WTT traveler having a pure straight end link or not. Then when it makes it to the NYC area I hope we can have a Get Together for it and I can wear mine to welcome it here.
