Did Seiko drill the lugs, on any divers after the 6217? Why do you suppose they didn't do it more?

Don't really know about that one But ......... ,
I always wondered that, Maybe because of " Spring Bar " design on them. They were sorta like glued, pressed into the ......... Straps from the start ", as I saw them when we had them. Everyday use caused them to get ....... " Caught on something, Snagged hard, bumped around etc. These watchs then went through hell in those jungles a lot. But many made it out later on after that war there. What we did was press hard wire in them or to the Bracelets and straps right through the Drilled Lugs. The original straps for the lug areas, there were hard when new. In Vietnam, we had problems with them when we had them, they kept falling of the Bracelets because of wear. Many were lost and dropped and damaged also.

I know my Orange and Black Monsters have drilled lugs. Also the spork. Other watches, I'm not too sure about....

There also Drilled on the ..BFK's and others, but they have Pressed in Shoulders to hold the Spring Bars in. The BFK and etc. I found out by pressing on of the lugs, that they are separately pressed into the case lugs. But I never found out if they are sold to replace them if worn out. This making the spring Bar easy to remove with a tool. " Tokunaga San " , most likely seen this option and designed them that way.

The lugs on the Seiko "Knight" series are also drilled. The funny thing is though, you really only have one choice of bracelet and one choice of strap since the lugs are somewhat integrated into the case.

Some are not that integrated, but they work find too. Being like that give very few bracelet choices like said, and if it is a nice watch then they would be hard to fine too. Very limited choices to them.

IIRC, the Stargate and the SRP227 (mini tuna) also have drilled lugs.
