For the most part I prefer Bracelets especially if it's the original. I've also taken a liking to straps when bracelets are not available. The third option is to modify or match a bracelet to specific end links or modify end links to a specific case. The forth option is to modify end links to a specific case and to a specific bracelet. This option being the most time consuming and of last resort. Whats nice, when an original bracelet isn't available, is when an existing original bracelet from another Seiko fits and existing end link on the watch your restoring. Case in point, no pun intended, Since I don't have a complete original bracelet for my blue dial 6138-0030 I installed a very nice leather strap on it which I like very well. After a bit of wrist time I picked up a set of end links from Roger, aka Sekosis, to hopefully increase some bracelet options. I had a particular bracelet in mind from a 6106 but procrastinated about robbing it from this watch. It was a Slotted "H" link bracelet. Then while searching my usually coves in the bay I ran across a LNOS bracelet with all the links and a decent buy it now. Bingo!, you can guess the rest. The bracelet arrived and was in beautiful condition. Next all that was needed was a little extra time, away from the work at hand, to install it. Finally I had a bit of time and installed it and presto changeO, from leather to steel in the blink of an eye........ It wears very well, as did the strap, so it's tough to decide which I like the most. I feel in the long run the bracelet will win out. What say you?......... My two Amigo's

This model in particular seems to only work on a bracelet. I like that bracelet a lot!

I'm going to be the odd man out....I do like the bracelet....it looks like it belongs with that watch....but the cool thing about the leather strap is that, IMO, it makes the watch look completely different...it highlights the colors of watch differently...the blue really pops with the strap vs. the bracelet.
The bracelet gives the watch the "traditional" look....the leather strap dares you to view the watch in another way.
YMMV of course.

If some 70s Japanese design guru thought it looked cool on that bracelet... then I'd have to agree with him. Bracelet.

Bracelet but if I had to go strap, I'd take a look at a rally strap. Nice duo!!!

Thanks guys! I appreciate your thoughts. For now it will stay on the bracelet although at some point I'll likely re-visit the strap.......
