Saw this BIN as soon as it was listed, and got it. linkI've actually been chasing one of these for some time, just never found the right deal. Tracking shows it should be here maybe tomorrow..... Got a battery waiting. Hopefully no leakage....!!! Will update after it arrives

I saw one listed a week or 2 ago listed as a Casio and was hoping to score a bargain but I guess everyone else found it and it sold for somewhere around $80.
It was definitely used but was "running" if that is what you would call a digital watch.

Nice one! Kinda rare, huh? Omega has a digital like that with the round face....I will now have to keep my eye open for that one. This modern runner Seiko called SOMA was found used and I grabbed it... seik SOMA on desk by blingmeister, on Flickr

Somebody needs to fill me in, tell me about this one please? The A828 in question is often called the "Astronaut Model" because it was popular at NASA during the 1980s. All of the functions of the watch are controlled by the rotating bezel, which astronauts wearing heavy, cumbersome gloves found much easier to use than trying to push tiny side-mounted buttons. I believe if you watch the movie "Space Camp"...also from the 1980s...you can see space program folks wearing them as well. Mmmmm...1980s Kate Capshaw!

Sorta rings a bell....I have both Omega X-33s and I seem to have read about that Seiko....kinda cool model. Of course the G Shock and the Timex Ironman were also tested for astronaut usage...

Well, it has arrived. Original inner and outer box. On to some quick pics... Minty fresh... Gotta love a caseback sticker First light of day this thing's guts have seen in quite some time.. No leakage! IT'S ALIVE!!! Sweet..... Need a hairy wrist shot... Well I wouldn't call it NOS, (especially after I've worn it) but it certainly wasn't worn much, if at all. Very pleased. All functions work- light, sounds, rotating bezel functions. Very cool digital watch. highly recommended for those looking to get in touch with their inner geek.

Nice find and about as close to NOS as you'd like to find every watch you buy! Congrats.

wow good for you being listed so poorly.
I love seeing all those astronaut portraits wearing this model watch. such an organic acceptance of a watch for function.

Cool watches! I'm not a big fan of 80's digital watches but that bezel function really appeals to me.
Congratulations! It looks immaculate.
