Okay, what do you think of this one? The seller jsej0024 calls it a King Seiko Chronometer Certified Hi-Beat 5626-7040. ( I thimk you can right-click these images and use "View Image" to see them larger.) What do you say? All A-OK? Anything suspicious? I thank you for all the help you folks have already provided, and will appreciate any comments you have about this prospect. - Thomas

Well, I'll just point you to my reference, from the Dr. Seiko Database: seikoholics.yuku.com/sreply/1180/56267040-Certified-ChronometerBut - from a quick look comparing the shots of the 2 examples: I don't see anything obvious (wrong, that is) with the front - as in incorrect parts. Not sure if that is original case texture or a careful buffing job though, but the edges do seem properly sharp from what I can see in your pics. The medallion is either unused or a modern replacement made in the style of the original as it looks just "perfect". Is this supposed to be an NOS or "Mint" condition specimen being sold??

Hi Ninja, No, the seller is not calling it NOS or in Mint condition, in fact they use the dreaded phrase "overhauled recently" but they imply that it was the movment that was "overhauled". If you would like to look at their listing it is item 181524201002 on eBay. It sure looks pretty, but that is not always the best indicator of quality! - Thomas

I always cringe, when a listing says the watch has been "overhauled"
